Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in North Mankato, MN.
Your Responsibilities:
• Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as product conveying systems, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc
• Involved in all aspects of projects including fabrication, operation, applications, installation, testing, repair and support
• Work with a project team to develop concepts and design solutions for automated and robotic equipment
• Work collaboratively with Mechanical, Electrical/Controls Engineers and machine shop
• Plan and schedule work to be done in the most cost efficient and safe manner while working to maintain project timelines
• Coordinate mechanical equipment and parts purchases for projects
• Work with manufacturing facilities to analyze processes, design and implement improvements
• Frequent travel in the Mankato area
• Occasional travel within the U.S. for installations and site visits
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or needed
You Must Have:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2-5 years work experience
• Strong organizational skills overseeing multiple projects at once
• Knowledge of Design, Automation, and Mechanical Assembly
• Experience in 3D modeling programs such as Inventor/AutoCAD or similar
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
• High computer literacy - ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
• Ability to operate autonomously and self-directed
• Excellent communication and teambuilding skills and an ability to manage relationships with internal and external customers, fostering a relationship of trust and mutual respect
We Would Also Prefer:
• Print Industry Experience a plus
• Manufacturing Experience a plus
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
