You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.

Role Responsibilities

  • Drive Design for Cost (DFC) initiatives across semiconductor equipment products to improve product competitiveness while maintaining performance, quality, reliability, safety, and customer requirements.
  • Perform Should-Cost Analysis, cost breakdown reviews, and technical-commercial assessments for fabricated parts, assemblies, and subsystem hardware.
  • Partner with Engineering, Commodity Management, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Suppliers to identify and execute cost reduction opportunities.
  • Review drawings, specifications, BOMs, and assemblies to identify cost drivers and recommend alternative manufacturing methods, materials, tolerances, standardization opportunities, and sourcing strategies.
  • Support supplier costing reviews, RFQ evaluations, technical-commercial negotiations, and cost optimization discussions.
  • Lead Value Engineering (VE) and Value Analysis (VA) initiatives focused on cost reduction, simplification, standardization, and supply chain optimization.
  • Drive engineering change implementation, savings tracking, benchmark studies, and product cost roadmap execution.
  • Support build issue resolution and supplier-related technical discussions impacting product cost, manufacturability, and sourcing decisions.
