We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and AI-based CFD modeling for boilers and power plant systems. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in ANSYS-based CFD and FEA modelling, SolidWorks/Inventor design and a foundational understanding of machine learning applications in CFD. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to power plant optimization, system design, and predictive modeling in a cutting-edge energy environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct CFD and FEA simulations for power plant components, including boilers, heat exchangers, and flow systems.
- Develop and refine AI-driven CFD models for enhanced performance prediction and optimization of thermal systems.
- Design and modify mechanical components using SolidWorks or Inventor to support engineering projects.
- Perform thermal and structural analysis of power plant equipment to ensure efficiency and durability.
- Work on machine learning applications for predictive maintenance and performance improvement of boiler systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to create innovative solutions addressing challenges related to improving the durability of boiler systems.
- Assist in data analysis and model validation using real-world plant operational data.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in CFD and FEA tools such as ANSYS Fluent and OpenFOAM.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Inventor for mechanical design and drafting.
- Basic understanding of machine learning and AI applications in CFD modeling.
- Familiarity with power plant operations, thermal systems, and boiler performance.
- Knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics in industrial applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Python, MATLAB for AI-driven modeling.
- Experience in combustion modeling and turbulence simulations.
- Knowledge of power plant systems and strategies for improving efficiency.
- Hands-on experience in predictive maintenance and digital twin technologies.
