Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations
- Designs are completed according to schedule
- Designs meet Afinitas engineering standards
- Design analysis, drawings, and bills of material are accurate
- Coordinate layout and design of equipment
- Perform design analysis for equipment
- Create manufacturing drawings for equipment
- Create and complete bills of material for equipment
- Evaluate and implement design changes
- Work with manufacturing on build processes and improvement
- Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office software effectively
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical 4-year education or technical 2-year education required
- Basic understanding of:
- Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
- Mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed
- Strength of materials and structural analysis
- Manufacturing processes
- Training and/or experience in using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3-D modeling software
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to shifting priorities
- Attention to detail
- Work individually as well as in a team environment
- Takes personal ownership and satisfaction on quality work
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
