We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Advanced Technology Operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the mechanical design and development of advanced systems and their technology maturation vehicles, supporting product evolution and preliminary design activities for next-generation aerospace programs.Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support components and systems design activities for tests vehicles and new technologies introduction

  • Contribute to the design and development of innovative hardware solutions for advanced systems, ensuring alignment with program requirements and future product strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support advanced technology demonstrations and ensure successful execution of sub-scale and full-scale rig tests.

  • Support the definition, integration, and optimization of mechanical components across engine systems and modules, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.

  • Continuous Improvement: Apply lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance design processes and outcomes.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or relevant experience in design and/or analysis engineering position. Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Good knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts and hand calculations

  • Basic knowledge of complex 2D and 3D shapes modelling CAD techniques

  • Basic knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)

  • Clear thinking and diligent approach

  • English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
