We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to work on the housing design for our next-generation solutions, including the Motor Controller Unit (MCU), BMS, DC-DC Converter, and Vehicle Controller Unit (VCU). The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and will be working for the mechanical design process, encompassing simulation, development, and testing of mechanical components.
Responsibilities- Prepare the different mechanical design concepts for Charger, BMS, MCU and VCU etc which meets size, functional and cost requirement.
- Design the different mechanical parts of metal, plastic and rubber.
- Execute the tolerance analysis, thermal analysis and vibration analysis.
- Work with the ECAD team for mechanical integration of a PCBA.
- Coordination with the T&V team for internal and external lab testing.
- Work with a mechanical parts supplier and provide them a technical clarification on the design.
- Work with suppliers for the Rapid prototyping (3D printing, Machining, silicon molding) for initial engineering build.
- Prepare and release all the mechanical design Artifacts (MCAD, MBOM, Part Drawing, Test Plan, Test Report, Analysis Report).
- Hands on experience of minimum 1 mechanical casing projects from requirement definition to product release.
- Hands on experience on minimum 1 projects for the IP67 rated automotive ECU casing design.
- 3+ years of hands on experience on the solids works/AutoCAD
- Thermal and Vibration Simulation.
