As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.

Roles and Responsibility:

  • Dynamic technical leader with 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering for system tool packaging, cable management, platform enclosures. Proven ability to drive complex programs, mentor teams, and deliver cost-effective, serviceable designs integrating mechanical, thermal, and electrical requirements. Adept at collaborating across functions to ensure manufacturability and supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensures designs meet market requirement specifications (MRS). Coordinate with project marketing and management to understand sub system requirements.
  • Assists in creating concepts for architectural design approaches. Evaluate architectures to provide recommendation for best system solution approach.
  • Build and qualify prototypes of new designs or procure entire subsystems from outsourced suppliers and test for compliance with detailed specifications.
  • Identifies problems and troubleshoots a variety of difficult engineering problems in field of technical expertise, including serviceability and manufacturability.
  • Supports system integration during the assembly and final testing of new product designs. Performs and coordinates tests as per internal as well as industry-accepted reliability specifications. Make suitable design or operational changes as required.
  • Prepare summary reports for internal and external audiences, present findings, data, and conclusions to technical experts.

Experience:

  • Mechanical Design & Integration: Expertise in Packaging, enclosure assembly, rack systems, and structural design.
  • Thermal & Airflow Management: Advanced knowledge of cooling strategies, temperature control, and airflow optimization.
  • Electrical Integration: Skilled in cable management and seamless integration of electrical components.
  • Design for Excellence: Focus on low-cost design, manufacturability, serviceability, and supply chain optimization.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Strong ability to inspire, mentor, and grow junior engineers into high-performing teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with electrical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure holistic solutions

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s in mechanical engineering
  • Additional certifications in Manufacturing, Thermal Design, Project Management, Leadership

Tools and Expertise:

  • CAD Tools: AutoCAD Inventor, SolidWorks
  • Thermal Analysis: CFD tools, ANSYS
  • Electrical Integration: Cable routing, EMI/EMC considerations
  • Manufacturing Processes: Sheet metal, machining
  • Standards: ISO, UL, RoHS compliance
  • Knowledge in SEMI S2/S8/S14, NFPA 79, F47, CE, EMI/EMC safety standards
