Objectives of the role
As an MDM Data Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment on exciting data management directives. You will design, build, and measure complex Informatica Power Center and MDM processes to master data for different Master Data domains in MassMutual. This role involves working on a range of projects including batch pipelines, data modeling, and Master Data solutions to implement robust data collection and processing pipelines to meet specific business needs.

The Data Platform Data Engineering team comprises a diverse group of data engineers, analysts, and data architects who are passionate about data integrity and innovation. Our MDM team is dedicated to mastering data management processes that are essential for MassMutual's data-driven strategies.
The Impact:
- Design, construct, and evaluate intricate ELT/ETL tasks: Assimilate data from diverse sources into a high-quality, reliable data repository, directly impacting the accuracy of MassMutual's data-driven decisions.
- Develop Master Data Management (MDM) solutions: Implement solutions across various master data domains within MassMutual, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
- Provide comprehensive support for MDM solutions: Manage data ingestion, master record creation, outbound data extracts, and API integration to maintain seamless data operations.
- Implement data modeling policies and procedures: Establish standards for data modeling, contributing to the efficiency and consistency of data processes.
- Collaborate across departments: Engage with various teams to understand emerging data patterns, translating high-level business needs into precise technical specifications.
- Actively engage in the development and rollout of MDM Solutions and other Information Management initiatives at MassMutual.
- Establish data quality benchmarks and develop tools/processes to ensure data accuracy.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with Informatica Power Center.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data modeling, and database design.
- 3+ years of coding and scripting (Python, Java, Scala) and design experience.
- 3+ years of experience with the Informatica MDM platform in the customer/party subject area.
- 3+ years of experience in ELT methodologies, SQL tuning, and troubleshooting.
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle database and AWS.
- 2+ years of experience with basic UNIX commands and shell scripts.
The Ideal Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science or engineering.
- Familiarity with agile project delivery processes.
- Proficiency in SQL and data access/analysis.
- Ability to manage diverse projects impacting multiple roles and processes.
- Experience with Python, Kafka, and database technologies like Vertica or Redshift.
- Experience designing and implementing automated ETL processes.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and near real-time mastering via SIF.
- Willingness to provide Level 2 support for batch processing cycles outside business hours.

Salary Range: $113,100.00-$148,400.00
