Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary
The Shipboard Ammunition Logistics Specialist manages, handles, transports, and stores all types of ammunition, explosives, and missiles. You will Inspect materials to determine serviceability and need for repair or destruction. Maintain an ammunition security program to reduce or eliminate the risk of loss or theft of ammunition stocks. Ensure all safety regulations are met in storage and during ammunition operations. You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
Completed the Enlisted Ammunition Specialist Course or equivalent
High School graduate or equivalent.
Four (4) years directly related work experience.
Completed the Enlisted Ammunition Specialist Course or equivalent.
Working knowledge of ammunition inspection and storage procedures to ensure that all ammunition items are in serviceable condition and properly stored.
Experience in maintaining an accurate ammunition inventory to ensure ammunition is accounted for, discrepancies are identified, and action is taken to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Skill in determining ammunition storage classification to ensure items are accurately classified to meet segregation/grouping requirements for storage in permanent/field storage facilities.
Ability to use basic software applications.
Must have a valid passport or be able to obtain a passport
Must have normal color vision.
Valid State Driver’s License

Applicants who have held Army MOS 89B, USMC MOS 2311, or UASF 2W0X1
