About the Role
Ericsson's Material Planning role represents an integral component of our Hardware Service Delivery team. His role is pivotal in ensuring an adequate and optimal inventory for contract fulfilment, striking the right balance based on a variety of parameters. These include customer demands, contractual obligations, geographical location, classification of spare parts, Stock and Inventory Turnover, and more.
The goal? To maximize performance while minimizing costs. As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for planning functions according to the contracted service levels to ensure readiness and effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage material planning activities to meet contracted service levels.
- Monitor and optimize spare parts inventory using forecasting and planning tools.
- Coordinate with suppliers and repair centers to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Analyze demand trends and adjust supply plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate master data and planning parameters.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support new product introductions and end-of-life inventory planning.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks impacting service delivery.
