About this opportunity:
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join Ericsson for a Master's thesis focused on designing and evaluating an agentic AI workflow that supports Solution Package (SP) development leadership.
You will research, design, prototype, and evaluate an AI solution that streamlines the SP development process. The work will cover workflow analysis, requirements definition, human-AI interaction design, and prototype implementation using existing Ericsson AI capabilities.
The goal is to support the SP Driver, who is responsible for driving an SP from the start of the study to completion while maintaining quality, security, schedule, cost, and customer value. A detailed description of the thesis can be provided separately.
A solution package is (part of) a feature, and an SP driver is a technical project manager.
What you will do:
- Analyse the current SP Development process across project management methodologies.
- Design an AI solution that supports information retrieval, synthesise documentation, and risk analysis.
- Integrate approved knowledge sources with source traceability and human approval gates.
- Investigate how an AI agent can support SP drivers in coordinating stakeholders, sharing knowledge, and preparing decision material.
- Evaluate the solution in terms of efficiency, information quality, decision readiness, process compliance, trust, and safety.
- Identify opportunities to further support SP development leaders and propose an AI-resilient SP development process.
- Document the work, present the results, and demonstrate the potential benefits for future software development.
The skills you bring:
- You are studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- You are interested in AI agents, agentic workflows, software development processes, and the practical application of AI in complex organisational environments.
- You have an interest in leadership development and in understanding how SP Drivers lead cross-functional, multi-stakeholder work.
- You have an interest in human-centred AI design, knowledge integration, information quality, and responsible AI governance.
- You are familiar with, or interested in learning about, agentic AI coding tools, harnesses, cloud-based services, and related technologies.
- You have strong analytical, problem-solving, research, and communication skills.
- You can work independently, structure an open research question, and collaborate effectively with SP Drivers and stakeholders.
