Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team. The Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring comprehensive project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or equivalent. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely project delivery by coordinating with cross-functional teams and providing strategic scheduling insights throughout the project lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools.
Support the creation and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), incorporating updates from SAP and other systems.
Perform daily resource management, including generating assignment printouts for technicians.
Establish and manage schedule baselines; track and report on performance against key milestones.
Analyze project progress to identify scheduling risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with program management, engineering, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure schedule alignment and accurate forecasting.
Contribute to scheduling components of monthly and quarterly performance reports.
Ensure compliance with scheduling standards and customer reporting requirements.
Provide schedule-related data and insights to cost estimating, risk management, and resource planning efforts.
Basic Qualifications
TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
Bachelor’s degree and 8–12 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and performance monitoring.
Strong working knowledge of project planning techniques and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar).
Demonstrated ability to define project requirements, establish key milestones, and ensure performance objectives are met.
Experience with budgeting and financial tracking to meet project or contractual requirements.
Familiarity with risk management practices, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
Effective written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in using Project Management Software (PMS) to track progress and deliverables.
Ability to work independently and lead project teams or cross-functional efforts.
Experience managing or overseeing multiple projects or programs with measurable impact.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2).
Experience with Agile methodologies and leading Agile or hybrid projects.
Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and change management initiatives.
Familiarity with contract management, including negotiation and performance tracking.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar performance measurement tools.
Experience with government or defense contracting environments.
Demonstrated ability to coach and delegate work effectively across levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills involving complex and cross-functional issues.
Experience influencing leadership on solution design, process improvements, or delivery strategies.
