JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
The Master Scheduler is responsible for coordinating, planning and scheduling of production at the plant. Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. Works with customers, purchasing, production and engineering regarding new product releases and long term customer needs. Prepares and manages the demand production schedule for the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.
- Manage demand, production scheduling and customer service for multiple customers/ products
- Formalizes weekly forecasts and sales and operations planning data
- Works closely with customers, purchasing, production and engineering regarding new product releases and long-term customer needs to determine daily production and shipping requirements
- Establishes supply chain parameters to drive 100% on time delivery of requirements along with appropriate inventory levels to protect against variation
- Leads continuous improvement teams and cost reduction initiatives
- Supports new product/ program launches
- Perform additional duties as directed
- Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers

Education / Experience / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge in Supply Chain Management
- Experience with J-I-T Automotive Sequencing
- 3-5 Years in either Materials Planning/Scheduling/Analyst/Supervisor
- Broad based supply chain management and process development knowledge required
- Experience should include but not limited to scheduling, demand and record management, customer measurement systems, inventory management and material flow
- Working knowledge of operations, accounting, purchasing and experience in automotive supply chain
- Must possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Advanced level ability in PC Software, ERP and EDI system
- Exceptional math, time management and problem-solving skills Formal lean manufacturing training
