Key Responsibilities:

Master Data Governance:

  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and standards related to Master Data.

  • Define data quality rules, procedures, and workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

  • Implement data stewardship processes to manage ongoing data quality and integrity.

Master Data Management (MDM):

  • Define master data processes, models, and hierarchies to support business requirements.

  • Be a key user in the integration of master data across different systems and applications.

  • Monitor and analyze data quality metrics and KPIs related to master data.

  • Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve data integrity issues and perform data cleansing activities.

  • Ensure master data compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with master data management.

Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead a team of master data stewards, analysts, and specialists.

  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to all team members.

  • Foster a culture of data stewardship and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Organize team and individual meetings as required to operate effectively.

Lead BAU / Stakeholders:

  • Run the Master Data Process council, engaging key stakeholders and sponsors.

  • Work with key stakeholders for buy-in on best practices of Master Data Management Process.

  • Reframe and harmonize the master data processes.

  • Define the master data governance framework and develop business processes within ECC/S4 and other systems.

  • Ensure data quality, compliance, and consistency of master data across business systems.

  • Update and design future master data workflows and test processes in UAT/SIT.

Data Culture / Community:

  • Identify and define Business Data Requestors and Local Data Owners.

  • Coach and train existing Master Data Stewards and wider business local data owners.

  • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.

Tools:

  • Lead the implementation and management of MDM processes and quality tools.

  • Leverage existing Master Data Quality Tools like Syniti and implement weekly DQ KPIs.

  • Own and maintain global Master Data Quality rules, data standards, and logic dictionary.

  • Support the Master Data Governance buy-in with leadership and support the implementation.

Works within GMP / EHS Requirements:

  • Perform tasks while adhering to current GMP requirements for sterile medicinal products.

  • Report any compliance concerns to your line manager or the Quality Assurance Compliance team.

  • Work safely and raise any Health and Safety concerns to your line manager or the EHS team.

  • Ensure all training is up to date and documented by adhering to training plan requirements.

Essential requirements:

  • Have a demonstrable track record of SAP Master Data Management and Data Governance

  • Proven experience of data management experience incl. master data management and metadata management, preferably in an industrial company with a life sciences/pharma focus and including hands-on experience with the implementation of Master Data Management & Governance

  • Have the ability to develop, mentor & coach indirect team members

  • Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across functions at a senior level to influence and effect change to achieve common goals

Preferred requirements:

  • Possess excellent project management skills

  • Substantial expertise in translating business requirements into data (management) requirements.

  • Experience in integrating complex and cross-corporate processes
