Master Data Finance Domain Lead | hybrid | Guararema
A Master Data Finance Domain Lead is a senior role responsible for owning, governing, and improving financial master data across systems and processes. Think of it as the bridge between Finance, Data, and Technology—ensuring that critical financial data is accurate, consistent, and usable for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Management
- Full accountability for lifecycle management of Master Data Operations services/products.
- Oversee SAP S4 (MDG), SAP ECC (GRD), and Winshuttle platforms.
- Collaborate with leadership, development, and deployment teams to define IT solution strategies aligned with operational excellence and transformational programs.
- Stay updated on industry trends to innovate or optimise solutions cost-effectively.
2. Service Management
Manage 3rd party vendors, ensuring operational excellence.
Accountable for service metrics (SLAs, availability, performance).
Ensure service continuity strategies, including disaster recovery (DR) tests per Mars standards.
Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on business demands.
3. Escalation & Demand Management
Serve as an escalation point for business demands.
Coordinate resources to resolve issues promptly.
4. Stakeholder Management
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
Develop and sustain user communities, key users, functional experts, and Data Councils.
Collaborate with other teams and projects following Mars Digital Technologies (DT) processes.
Ensure high customer satisfaction.
5. Budget & Vendor Contract Management
Manage budgets and vendor contracts in compliance with Finance and Procurement policies.
6. Line Management
Lead and coach a global, remote team.
Ensure team members understand Mars business processes and project methodologies.
Promote agile behaviours and contribute to talent pipeline and succession planning.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with business users, transformational programs, digital technologies, finance, enterprise architecture, operations, infrastructure, and application teams.
Streamline Master Data processes and governance.
8. Technology Assessment & Transition
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and transformational programs to evaluate new technologies.
Coordinate with New Tech Product Manager for technology transition planning.
Required Experience & Skills:
Technical Background: Strong expertise in Master Data and Data Management.
Experience: 5-7 years in Applications, IT Products, and Services/Support.
Leadership: Ability to develop IT knowledge and leadership skills.
ERP Knowledge: Functional and technical understanding of ERP solutions.
Management: Experience in line management, especially in remote and global settings.
Financial Acumen: Budget and financial management experience.
Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Vendor Management: Experience managing external vendors and service/support organisations.
Certifications: ITIL, PMI, Agile, DevOps, Scrum certifications are advantageous.
Functional Knowledge: Strong in Supply Chain or Finance domains.
Communication: Proficient in English with excellent interpersonal skills.
Problem Solving: Ability to analyse complex information and define problems accurately.
Learning Agility: Curious and quick to learn new technical skills.
Scenario Planning: Skilled in “what if” analysis and influencing others.
Adaptability: Effective in flexible, changing environments; able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
