The Master and Reference Data Strategy Analyst is responsible for supporting the strategic evolution and/or adoption of Master and Reference Data in coordination with the Data Governance team. The overall objective is to support the creation, maintenance and adoption of a unified and consistently defined fit-for-purpose enterprise-wide Master and Reference Data domains.
The Master and Reference Data Strategy Analyst will partner with lines of business and global functions to support the identification, collection, and remediation of Data Quality issues and concerns, while executing the Master Reference Data adoption strategy across all Reference data domains. This position requires an understanding of enterprise data capabilities as well as their practical application across functions in a large financial services organization.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities may include management of reference data standards database and uploads
- Uses professional judgment, discretion, and business expertise to provide feedback on issues that have notable impact on the business.
- Participate in data maintenance efforts and status tracking of how data is captured, stored and consumed
- Assist with BAU data management and data maintenance processes across data lifecycle
- Performs maker functions for BAU processes
- Tests features and functionality in planned software releases as needed.
- Monitors performance and quality control plans to identify any issues or ways to improve systems and database designs.
- Track and facilitate the resolution of issues involving Master and Reference Data use and quality
- Generates and distributes of error reports, and provide resolutions on incident tickets
- Work with key stakeholders to define success, develop supporting metrics and then build visualization and analytics
Qualifications:
- 1-4 Years of experience, Banking or Finance industry preferred
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are needed to satisfy all job functions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
