We are seeking a talented individual to join our Finance team at Marsh. This role will be based in Hong Kong and reporting to Hong Kong and Macau Financial Controller. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Proactively assist the Controller in ensuring the business runs in compliance with all applicable local regulatory guidelines/legislation (statutory & fiscal) and Group corporate governance & internal control procedures to satisfy SOX & Internal audit requirements, including conducting internal control reviews, driving process improvements, and leading weakness remediation efforts.
- Coordinate year-end statutory, audit, and tax financial processes under both HKFRS and US GAAP.
- Assist Controller in cash flow management and provide accurate, timely cash forecasting to Group Treasury.
- Assist Controller to review monthly flash results, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of relevant financial information to stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit month-end management reports with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Manage cross-border tax matters with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Handle inter-company transactions under US GAAP and HKFRS, coordinate inter-company communications, prepare inter-company activity reports, and perform inter-company reconciliations.
- Lead and contribute to other ad-hoc projects, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
What you need to have:
- University graduate or above in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 4-8 years of relevant work experience, with Big Four accounting firm experience preferred, demonstrating strong technical expertise and professional growth.
- Proficient with Oracle, Hyperion financial systems, or equivalent platforms.
- Solid understanding of HKFRS and US GAAP.
- Adequate knowledge of SOX, corporate governance, financial operations, and corporate tax requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive working attitude with the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Previous experience in professional services or financial services companies, especially consulting, is highly valued.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese is essential.
- Professional certifications such as HKICPA or ACCA are preferred.
- Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools, including emerging areas such as AI.
