About the Programme

Marsh Management Services Guernsey Limited is a leading provider of captive management services in the insurance sector. We are committed to delivering innovative solutions to our clients and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join our Captive Insurance Team as an Insurance Trainee. This new initiative will offer a unique opportunity to experience formal training and mentorship, with practical, on-the job experience and a pathway to launching a career in the captive insurance industry. The role will have variety which will allow for career progression in the Industry.

This is a 24-month Graduate Programme based in Guernsey working on a permanent full time contract.

We will count on you to:

  • Engage in training and development programs to build knowledge of captive insurance and risk management.

  • Assist in the management and administration of captive insurance companies under our management.

  • Support the underwriting process by gathering and analysing relevant data specific to your clients captive operations.

  • Participate in the claims management process

  • Collaborate with senior colleagues to prepare reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

  • Attend/Present at client meetings

What you need to have: 

  • Have achieved or be on track to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 degree (or equivalent).

  • You must have current valid right to live and work in Guernsey - there is no visa sponsorship provided

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
