Role Overview

The Channel Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing Maxwood’s presence across key third-party marketplaces, including Walmart, Target Plus, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Kohl’s, Amazon, Wayfair, and Bed Bath & Beyond. This role plays a critical part in driving marketplace growth through effective product merchandising, platform management, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

ResponsibilitiesMarketplace Operations
  • Manage product listings, content, and promotional strategies across third-party marketplaces

  • Ensure product detail pages are optimized for visibility, accuracy, and conversion

  • Monitor catalog health and maintain high-quality marketplace content standards

Platform Management & Optimization
  • Work within Mirakl and ChannelAdvisor platforms to onboard products, manage listings, troubleshoot issues, and maintain compliance

  • Utilize marketplace seller portals to manage catalog performance and identify growth opportunities

  • Support ongoing optimization efforts across marketplace channels to improve performance and efficiency

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Product, and Creative teams to ensure alignment on inventory, pricing, promotions, and brand standards

  • Collaborate with external marketplace account representatives to identify opportunities and resolve escalations

  • Coordinate marketplace initiatives and ensure timely execution across departments

Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track sales trends, performance metrics, and marketplace KPIs

  • Identify areas of opportunity and risk across marketplace channels

  • Develop regular reporting and provide actionable insights to support business decisions and channel growth

Compliance & Account Health
  • Ensure adherence to marketplace policies, listing requirements, and customer service standards

  • Proactively address compliance issues and account health concerns

  • Maintain marketplace best practices and platform-specific requirements

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience managing third-party marketplace accounts such as Walmart, Target Plus, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Kohl’s, Amazon, or Wayfair

  • Hands-on experience with Mirakl-powered marketplaces strongly preferred

  • Experience with product listing optimization, digital merchandising, and marketplace growth strategies

  • Familiarity with marketplace tools such as ChannelAdvisor, Salsify, Feedonomics, CommerceHub, or similar platforms

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and project management abilities

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance and identify opportunities

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with reporting or business intelligence tools

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing both first-party (1P) and third-party (3P) marketplace relationships

  • Background in retail, consumer goods, or ecommerce

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • Experience with Shopify or other DTC ecommerce platforms
