The RealReal is looking for our first dedicated SEO manager to join the Acquisition Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Acquisition Marketing, you will be focused on scaling SEO. This role is a key position on the Acquisition Marketing team in driving results for our growing company.  You will work closely with numerous stakeholder teams including product, engineering, merchandising, analytics and others on the acquisition team.

What You Get To Do Every Day

  • Develop, socialize, and champion SEO strategy, backed by data and forecasts including keyword research and opportunity analysis.
  • Have a strong grasp of SEO metrics and tools. You're able to identify which SEO KPIs matter most and how to be effective
  • Strong understanding of scalable SEO growth levers including site structure, link-building, meta-data and on-page content optimization
  • Define and execute a strategic roadmap in partnership with cross-functional partners in Product and Engineering 
  • Continuously identify new SEO growth opportunities by analyzing existing content architecture, keyword constructs, and data/traffic metrics.
  • Keep up with SEO industry trends and methodologies.
  • Lead CRO efforts that bring improvements in conversion rates for all marketing channels
  • Have a clear point of view and ability to present convincingly to executives, partners, and vendors.
  • Provide regular updates to team members & key partners on project status, timelines, and results.

What You Bring To The Role

  • 8+ years experience working in SEO with a demonstrable understanding of SEO best practices
  • Proficient in Technical SEO, ability to identify opportunities pertaining to website crawlability, live text, page speed, core web vital and sitewide canonical tags
  • Experience with content creation, managing or taking ownership of bringing content strategies to life that drives results for the company
  • Excellent writer and communicator
  • Strong background with keyword research
  • Search analytics background and exceptional quantitative skills for analyzing data, proposing actionable recommendations and taking action
  • Familiarity with Prismic CMS
  • Familiar with SEO industry tools and resources including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, BrightEdge, Conductor, SEMRush, Ahrefs to glean valuable insights and findings from data.
