Write and edit a wide range of external communications, with a focus on editing and approving external customer servicing and remediation communications for brand voice and tone. Must be able to deliver clear and consistent communication that puts the customer at the center and is effective, clear and helpful. Understand and apply relevant voice, tone and style guidelines regardless of channel or tactic. Serve as effective communications consultant to multiple clients across the Bank. Have a passion for great writing and share that passion and expertise with the team.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal clients to create concise and engaging content.
- Help establish and maintain brand tone.
- Manage and prioritize a large volume of tasks.
- Work collaboratively to drive improvements in copy.
- Work across a variety of communications channels: print, digital, social, 1:1, etc.
- Review work and provide minor editorial assistance to projects in development to promote consistent voice and messaging for customer-facing servicing and remediation communications.
- Acts as key reviewer and approver of customer-facing communications via the enterprise approval systems of record.
- Responsible from a marketing perspective for governance and final system approval of all customer-facing servicing and remediation communications.
- Ensure all content complements our brand expressions and resonates with our target users.
- Serve as content representative for high-profile projects and cross-departmental meetings.
- Ideal candidate for this role is highly encouraged to find ways to cultivate and share knowledge and best practices with peers and collaborators.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field required.
- Five (5) or more years of job-related work experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong command of grammar and AP style.
- Outstanding research, writing and editing skills.
- Knowledge of advertising mediums and understanding of effective communications and best practices.
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet fast-paced deadlines and handle numerous tasks concurrently, project management skills.
- Strong professional, consultative and interpersonal communications skills.
- Prior financial/banking experience is highly desirable, but not required.
