About the job
The Red Hat Customer Reference team is looking for an intern to join our team next year. The Customer Reference program is well-established but continues to expand in its internal support programs as Red Hat grows. You'll learn how to thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, and build relationships with key stakeholders and Red Hat marketing teams.
In this role, you will be an active part of the Operations subteam within the Customer Reference team to support the team's infrastructure and distribution of customer reference content. This internship will give you the opportunity to gain experience in developing, promoting, and managing marketing content.
What you will do

  • Be an active part of the Operations subteam within the Customer Reference team to support the team's infrastructure and distribution of customer reference content
  • Maintain content libraries of customer reference stories, proactively organize content for ease of use, and manage content life cycles using performance data analysis
  • Collaborate with digital teams to pull regular traffic reports for case studies, web success stories, videos, and analyze for trends
  • Participate in content audits to evaluate what stories should be removed or refreshed
  • Manage a large repository of customer and partner story slides and work with Red Hat content editors and external agencies to write and edit new slides
  • Support communications and social media teams by identifying the right customer and partner stories to promote at the proper times and channels
  • Draft and edit social media posts around customer and partner success stories and coordinate related social media design requests
  • Support communication strategy of reference project statuses to internal audiences
  • Vet and track new leads for customer success stories with key alliance partners


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree; marketing or communications focus is a plus; if you have graduated, be no more than 6 months past your graduation date at the start of the internship
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and proactive thinker
  • Flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Professional presence and ability to navigate relationships with internal marketing and sales teams, external customers, and partners
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a geographically-dispersed team
  • Experience in the technology industry and/or specific familiarity with Red Hat and open source technologies is a plus but not required
  • Ability to work full-time May-August
