The Role
FinStrat Management (“FSM”) is seeking a dynamic Marketing Technology Manager to join our team who can help us build our brand, generate leads, and accelerate our growth in the financial services space.
In this role, you will be responsible for building, executing, and optimizing the Marketing Technology stack to drive partner acquisition, conversion, and penetration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with SaaS integrations, and a deep understanding of marketing technology and data flows.
This is a full-time role.
Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the firm’s business objectives and growth targets.
- Work closely with the leadership team (CEO and other key stakeholders) to define marketing goals and KPIs that supports company revenue and client retention objectives.
- Monitor market trends, industry dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategy and identify opportunities for differentiation.
Brand Development and Positioning:
- Own and evolve our brand; ensuring consistent messaging, voice, and visual identity across all touchpoints.
- Position the firm as a thought leader in the fractional CFO and financial consulting space through content marketing, public relations, and speaking opportunities.
- Build and maintain a brand messaging framework that resonates with target audiences, including C-suite executives, early-stage startup founders, and VC managing partners.
Lead Generation and Demand Generation:
- Design and execute digital marketing campaigns (email marketing, paid media, SEO/SEM, social media) that generate leads and drive sales pipeline growth.
- Optimize the firm's website and online presence for lead conversion, including landing pages, calls to action (CTAs), and lead capture forms.
- Develop and manage an integrated content calendar, including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and webinars that drive engagement and nurture leads.
Client Engagement and Retention:
- Develop strategies for client engagement through regular touchpoints, including newsletters, client events, and personalized communications.
- Work with the client success and sales teams to create retention strategies that keep existing clients engaged and foster long-term relationships.
Team Management and Collaboration:
- Manage a small team of marketing professionals (e.g., marketing manager, content creator, or digital marketing specialist) and provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to support their professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, client services, operations) to ensure marketing efforts align with business objectives and client needs.
Budget Management and ROI Analysis:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively across various marketing channels.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust tactics to improve ROI.
Event Marketing and Public Relations:
- Plan and execute both in-person and virtual events, such as industry conferences, webinars, and client-focused seminars, to build relationships and generate leads.
- Cultivate media relationships and generate press coverage to elevate the firm's profile within the financial services and business community
Job Requirements
Professional Knowledge
- 7+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, with a strong background in B2B marketing, preferably within the financial services, consulting, or professional services industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that have driven brand growth, lead generation, and sales pipeline growth.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tactics, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, content marketing, social media, and paid advertising.
- Experience in brand building, lead nurturing, client retention, and working with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience managing marketing teams and budgets.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of marketing professionals.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to craft compelling messages and create engaging content.
- Analytical mindset, able to track, measure, and report on marketing performance and ROI.
- Expertise in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
- Creative and strategic thinking with the ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to solving problems and driving projects forward.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality work.
- A strong understanding of the fractional CFO services market and the unique needs of small to medium-sized businesses is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field.
- Advanced marketing certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.) preferred.
