We are seeking a highly analytical Marketing Strategist to deliver complex work with a high degree of independence while strengthening delivery quality, coordination, and reliability within the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). 

In this role, you will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing and outreach initiatives that drive awareness and utilization of acquisition solutions across federal agencies. You will secure the business base through excellent delivery and client interaction, working closely with stakeholders to develop messaging that demonstrates how GSA initiatives—from sustainable building to IT acquisition—save taxpayer dollars. By partnering with program leadership and contracting officers to enhance government-wide acquisition outcomes, you will support organic growth and new business opportunities. This is a HYBRID position with on-site, in office requirements at our Hive Group Headquarters in McLean, VA.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute integrated outreach and marketing strategies to increase awareness and utilization of GSA & AAS acquisition programs and contract vehicles.
  • Create clear, accessible content to educate federal buyers and industry on acquisition pathways and program benefits.
  • Design compelling visuals for digital media, such as PowerPoint presentations, flyers, and branded internal communications
  • Serve as a storyteller, collaborating with stakeholders to identify, curate, and produce compelling stories that highlight GSA values, mission, and customer successes, 
  • Align outreach initiatives with agency priorities to support government-wide procurement efficiency and mission delivery.
  • Support program adoption by designing targeted campaigns aligned to federal buyer personas and acquisition lifecycles. 
  • Collaborate with program teams to position contract vehicles effectively within agency procurement strategies. 
  • Identify growth opportunities through market research, agency engagement, and industry collaboration.
  • Provide input for  monthly status reports (MSRs) and quarterly deliverable detailing marketing strategy, metrics and project milestones to satisfy contract requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between GSA programs and external stakeholders to drive adoption and engagement.
  • Facilitate strategic discussions, briefings, and executive engagements to communicate program value and capabilities. 
  • Represent GSA programs at conferences, interagency forums, and industry events to strengthen visibility and partnerships.
  • Ensure all communications align with GSA voice and organizational values and meet federal standards, including ADA Section 508 compliance. 
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the federal assisted acquisition ecosystem. 
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting frameworks to measure outreach effectiveness and program impact. 
  • Partner with contracting, program management, and policy teams to align messaging with acquisition regulations and priorities.
  • Support internal training and enablement initiatives to improve stakeholder understanding of GSA offerings. 
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts and program development initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in marketing, outreach, communications, and/or acquisition program support.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check and obtain a GSA Public Trust credential.
  • Proficiency in writing for a GovCon audience, focusing on clarity, professional tone, and adherence to GSA-specific branding guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and regulations, including FAR.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with federal stakeholders and industry partners at multiple levels.
  • Experience developing and executing outreach strategies, events, and digital campaigns in a government environment.
  • Progressive experience in creating visual assets and storytelling with a portfolio of produced content. 
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated compensation range for this position is between $120,000 and $145,000 annually, based on benchmarks in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This range reflects a good faith estimate for all experience levels.
