The highest-level individual contributor role that is responsible for managing and optimizing paid search campaigns, staying up to date with latest technology and best practices of digital marketing, and managing digital marketing channels independently. This role requires making day-to-day optimization decisions that impact significant budgets while leveraging ROI and KPI measurements to drive results.
The role requires a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills and a strong background in paid search and analytics. The Digital Marketing Strategist – Paid Search brings extensive marketing/program development expertise and relies on high degree of business acumen to determine what data and analytics are required to drive key business decisions, recommendations and to continuously improve marketing outcomes. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects, work streams, and initiatives to achieve organizational goals and continuously improve marketing performance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Leads large and complex marketing programs and initiatives that drive conversion. Leverages extensive experience to drive strategic development that aligns with key corporate strategies and goals.
- Works directly with digital and media agencies and internal execution staff to manage paid search campaigns by guiding, developing, executing, and optimizing strategies across platforms such as Google and Microsoft Ads to meet KPIs and drive ROI.
- Develop trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders to collaborate and influence across the organization contributing to the development of consumer offers that attract target segments, drive growth and increase loyalty.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including analytics, integrated planning, creative, and compliance, to align strategies while ensuring accuracy and organization in campaign setups, documentation, and reporting for seamless execution and compliance.
- Continuously seeks ways to leverage technology, analytical tools, and agency resources to optimize campaign effectiveness and maximize results.

Required Job Qualifications
- 7-10 years of marketing or related experience.
- College degree in marketing or related field; masters a plus but not required.
- Expertise in Paid Search/SEM (Google/Microsoft)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional customer service mindset.
- Detailed-oriented and demonstrates strong project management and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with digital channel management and execution tools including ad platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft, SA360, Meta, Customer Data Platforms, Campaign Orchestration (e.g., Adobe Campaigns, or other), Marketing Automation Platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other), Email Service Provider (e.g., Unica or other)
- Applies a development mindset to stay current with digital marketing trends and advancements and implement next generation strategies within existing marketing solution ecosystem.
- Strategic partner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Progressive relevant digital channel management experience in digital marketing within financial services or relevant industry
- Ability to manage up/down and across a large organization.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $102,023.00 - $138,032.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
