PURPOSE

The Marketing Specialist executes tactical and strategic marketing initiatives to drive lead generation, enhance brand awareness, and support market expansion. The primary objective is to achieve company growth and profitability targets. This role requires effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful marketing execution across multiple channels and regions.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Tactical Marketing

  • Generate leads using diverse channels, including external project databases (e.g., BCI) and Google Ads.

  • Qualify and nurture leads, coordinating closely with the commercial team.

  • Maintain and monitor the competitor account database.

  • Organize and execute local seminars and exhibitions in partnership with commercial and Asia Marketing and Comms teams.

  • Identify and implement new opportunities for local market communications.

  • Engage actively with industry associations, government agencies (e.g., MIDA), and state authorities.

  • Continuously update local market intelligence.

  • Support customer experience initiatives, such as surveys.

Strategic Marketing

  • Conduct market research and analysis by industry, product, and application.

  • Support market entry into new countries or regions (e.g., Vietnam, East Malaysia, Philippines).

  • Assist in evaluating new projects, including onsite plants or franchise development, by providing marketing assumptions on volume, pricing, market conditions, and market sizing.

                                                                                                                  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing, sales, or customer interface roles.

  • Strong experience in leads generation, engagement with government officers and market research.

  • Proficiency with Google Ads and market databases.

  • Demonstrated expertise in both tactical and strategic marketing.

  • Strong analytical and research capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
