The Marketing Specialist will play a key role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives for API. This position is not just about coming up with innovative ideas; you will be responsible for both the strategy and hands-on execution of campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness, attracting new clients, and retaining our diverse client portfolio. We are seeking a highly strategic marketer who excels in a B2B setting and has a proven track record of translating marketing plans into action. - Lead creative efforts to build and evolve the API brand, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all touchpoints.
- Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
- Conceptualize and execute innovative marketing campaigns, ensuring the creative vision aligns with strategic goals. Regularly assess campaign performance and optimize for better results.
- Conduct in-depth client research and competitive analysis to continuously refine and adapt marketing strategies and communications to the market’s evolving needs.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of content across all channels—website, social media, email, and more—ensuring content is on-brand, targeted, and engaging for various audiences.
- Take a hands-on role in the creative development and execution of marketing strategies for events, conferences, webinars, and trade shows—ensuring each event is a memorable experience that showcases the brand effectively and engages key audiences.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (sales, product, HR, etc.) and external partners, ensuring marketing initiatives align with overall business goals.
- Lead or support various special projects and ad-hoc marketing initiatives, including product launches, market expansions, or internal communications.
- Collaborate with the HR and internal teams to develop and execute effective internal communications that reinforce company culture and drive employee engagement.
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across projects and channels, and provide regular performance reports with insights for ongoing improvement.
Required Skills, Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, product, and/or brand management, with a strong focus on B2B marketing.
- Proficiency with online marketing, social media tools, and experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, Google Analytics) to manage campaigns, track performance, and nurture leads.
- Ability to develop, track, manage, and analyze marketing initiatives to measure success and optimize performance.
- Successful track record in managing and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and driving ROI through strategic marketing efforts.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and formats.
- Self-motivated, independent thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Global brand cultivation and management experience, with a focus on consistency across geographies and diverse client portfolios.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, HR, and other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
- Event and conference management experience, with an ability to plan, execute, and creatively enhance events, both in-person and virtual, to drive engagement and brand awareness.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and extract actionable insights to continuously improve marketing strategies.
- Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) and the ability to create tailored marketing strategies for key accounts and industry verticals.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full time, Monday through Friday, normal core business hours and as needed on nights and weekends unless otherwise specified. This is a hybrid opportunity with a minimum of 3 days in our Melville, NY headquarters.

Good faith annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 plus bonus and is commensurate with experience.
