We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. What You’ll Do

The Marketing Specialist role presents an exciting opportunity for a creative marketing and campaign management professional. In this full-time, remote position, the selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting communication and marketing initiatives to elevate the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) as a leading nonprofit dedicated to improving Californians' lives through economic and social mobility.

The Marketing Specialist will collaborate to conceptualize and implement unique marketing campaigns, emphasizing creativity and partner-specific needs. The role primarily focuses on innovative content marketing creation, campaign management, and elevating FoundationCCC programs, partners, and initiatives. The role will work closely with the Associate Director and a team of Content Marketing, Graphic Design, and Client Services professionals, contributing to project conceptualization, development, and execution.

  • Strategize, research, write, edit, and produce engaging content for various online and offline marketing deliverables and campaigns, including fact sheets, articles, annual reports, press releases, advertisements, email marketing, whitepapers, proposals, presentations, websites, and social media.
  • Execute content marketing strategy across key channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, YouTube, and FoundationCCC's website to support brand and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to optimize ad placements across various paid digital channels, such as SEM, PPC, display, social media, and programmatic advertising.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to understand project goals, target audience, and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring effective messaging, voice, and calls-to-action alignment.
  • Collaborate with the Client Services Team to develop effective email campaigns, including drafting compelling content, designing email layouts and graphics, coordinating schedules and workflows, analyzing performance data, and providing optimization recommendations.

Attributes for Success

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing strategy, content creation, and market research, focusing on creating campaigns and branding initiatives to drive success and engagement.
  • Highly creative mindset with a keen eye for trends, aesthetics, and detail.
  • Proficiency in digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Linkedln Advertising) and programmatic platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a preference for experience in higher education marketing.
  • Strong data analysis skills, proficient in platforms like Google Analytics and SproutSocial; experience with CRM systems like Salesforce and Hubspot.

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:

$70,000.00 - $75,000.00
