Position Description

 

Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a proactive, creative, and highly organized Marketing Specialist to join our New York marketing team. This role is ideal for an emerging marketing professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and is energized by collaborating closely with technical teams and senior leadership.

 

You will lead the development of best‑in‑class proposals, presentations, and marketing materials that showcase our projects, people, and capabilities. The ideal candidate brings fresh ideas, exceptional attention to detail, and an understanding of architecture, engineering, construction, and/or real estate industry with a desire to learn more about our field.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead Strategic Pursuits & Proposal Development

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of pursuit efforts—from RFP/Q through final submission.

  • Work with pursuit teams to craft high‑quality, persuasive content and ensure timely delivery of drafts and final packages.

  • Partner closely with the pursuits manager and executive leadership to gather accurate background information and insights.

  • Develop customized proposal layouts and creative visual approaches that elevate our submissions.

 

Develop High‑Impact Presentations & Visual Storytelling

  • Prepare compelling presentations and interview materials, including animated slides and digital collateral with our VDC visualization team.

  • Lead presentation coaching and provide constructive feedback to pursuit team.

 

Support Project Lifecycle Marketing

  • Track awarded projects to generate marketing content and document progress.

  • Develop case studies, coordinate photo/video, write project descriptions, and identify story opportunities to highlight across platforms.

 

Digital Asset & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate project data using Cosential, OpenAsset, Salesforce, and other information management systems.

  • Assist with planning and executing internal and external marketing campaigns.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, architecture, or a related field.

  • At least 5+ years of experience developing and managing proposals within the industry.

  • Must complete an InDesign skills test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom); web‑based tools; and Microsoft Office.

  • Familiarity with photography and basic video production.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to various communication styles.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and business development best practices.

  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
