Summary/Objective

The Marketing Specialist will report to the CXO and play a critical role in executing a variety of marketing initiatives within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position is responsible for ensuring brand consistency, driving community engagement, and coordinating marketing strategies that align with the credit union’s strategic goals.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building brand awareness and community connections.

Essential Functions

  1. Brand Management
    • Maintain consistency and continuity of brand messaging across all channels, as defined by R.I.A. Brand Guidelines.
    • Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Specialist to ensure all marketing materials meet brand standards and reflect the credit union's values.
  2. Content Creation & Coordination
    • Develop graphic, audio, video, digital, and written content, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
    • Coordinate with vendors to produce high-quality marketing materials.
  3. Social Media Management
    • Create and manage content that reflects the credit union’s voice and tone.
    • Analyze and report on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  4. Community Engagement
    • Execute and participate on community involvement initiatives, including chamber functions, parades, military events, golf outings, credit union chapter events and other community or industry focused activities.
  5. Website Management
    • Ensure the website is up-to-date, compliant with regulations, and aligned with brand standards.
    • Collaborate with internal and external teams to enhance user experience and content relevance.
  6. Compliance
    • Stay informed of changing regulations to ensure all print, video, audio, and digital advertising is compliant.
  7. Budget Tracking
    • Monitor and report monthly marketing expenditures to Senior Marketing Specialist, ensuring alignment with the approved budget.
  8. Vendor Relations
    • Manage relationships with marketing vendors to execute campaigns and strategies effectively.
  9. Products and Services
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the credit union’s products, services, and offerings to enhance marketing initiatives.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to spend considerable time sitting at a desk, complete work using a computer, regularly answer phone calls, and interact with employees at all levels of the organization. The employee will occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. While normal hours of work and days for R.I.A. Federal Credit Union are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., hours for this position reflect branch attendance, but may vary based on job related requirements.   

Travel

Less than 10% travel.  

Required Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for community events.
