Job title: Marketing Specialist, Korea & Japan
Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager in AUS

Job summary
To plan, develop and execute regional marketing activities under the guidance of the Senior Marketing Manager which are aligned to the APMEA marketing strategy with responsibility for the Korean and Japanese market as shown:
- Develop and manage a regional-specific marketing plan, targeted specifically at key markets and audiences in Korea and Japan, using knowledge of the specific regional audiences, channels, opportunities, and products
- Deliver and execute marketing activity that is strategically aligned, on brand, on time, on budget and effective, meeting business needs to drive revenue growth and gain competitive advantage
- Manage marketing and design resources, activities and infrastructure to deliver the agreed regional marketing objectives
- Provide regional expertise and knowledge, specifically in strategically prioritised cities/countries/regions
Specific responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan in collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager which clearly outlines the objectives, audience, scope, deliverables, schedule and budget and that is aligned with the overall Korean and Japanese commercial strategy in support of prioritised markets and audiences within the Korean and Japanese region
- Maintain the relevant elements of the marketing calendar and budget, ensuring that it is understood, adhered to, and delivered accordingly
- Oversee the development of briefs and allocation of tasks and responsibilities across regionally-specific marketing campaigns, activities, and request for ad hoc support, so that our marketing and design resources are used efficiently and effectively
- Liaise with colleagues in the wider APMEA and Global Marketing team, to leverage assets and tools centrally, and represent the needs of the region so they are localised/edited where needed
- Collate metrics and other ways of tracking the overall effectiveness of regional marketing activity, with a particular focus on commercial impact, and analyse and report on the overall effectiveness of all activity
- Write reports and advise Senior Management as required
- Maintain and expand market knowledge and marketing knowledge
- Provide support to the wider business when required
Social Media
- Own contract organic social media strategy for Korea and Japan (where applicable)
- Manage HM Korea social channels
- Plan & schedule posts
- Daily review of global calendar & schedule/edit relevant posts for Korea and Japan
- Monthly report
Tokyo Showrooms
- Organising or supporting showroom events/activations
- Communication (e.g. Pardot invitations, co-ordinate social, internal comms)
- Brief creative team regarding any artwork/graphics that might be needed
Budget
- Manage ‘Korean & Japan’ budgets on an ongoing basis
- Liaise with local Finance team
Websites
- Manage and co-ordinate Homepage updates for JP regional site
- Allocate all inbound leads from website to Sales team via Salesforce
- Collect, manage and report on leads from Marketing activities (e.g. collect lead forms at exhibitions/LinkedIn, add to salesforce, allocate to sales, report)
Marketing campaigns and projects
- Lead projects and campaigns
- Understand global campaign and apply/localise as needed
- Laise with wider Korean and Japanese team to understand regional priorities
- Set KPI’s
- Project Manage regional projects & campaigns
- Report results
PR
- Identify and manage regional PR opportunities
- Brief regional Press Release to PR/editorial
Case Studies
- Identify/vet regionally relevant and strategically aligned case study opportunities
- Point of contact for customer
- Conduct Interviews
Provide Support to Regional Sales
- Respond to ad hoc questions
- Attend sales meetings to better understand where/how to support
Translations
- Proofread all online and print translations
- Attend briefing calls with translation agency
Job holder requirements
Education and experience
Essential:
- Educated to degree level
- Fluent English – written and oral
- Native Korean
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Japanese language
- Marketing experience 3 years minimum
- Experience as a marketing specialist within a global organisation
- Commercial experience
- Other languages spoken

- Strong project management skills – understanding the theories of project management and knowing how to use them efficiently

- Has experience in using digital marketing tools, such as Pardot
- Has experience in using SalesForce
- Experience of B2B marketing and ideally channel marketing
- Presentations to small or large groups, internal / external
- Commercial acumen, understanding of sales environment, processes and channels
- Has an understanding of Miller Knoll marketplace and customer base
