Marketing Representative

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Marketing Representative to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Uniondale, NY. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced marketing abilities in online rating, risk evaluation, loss assessment.
• Support Producer, Account Executive and Account Manager on handling the daily new business marketing needs of our clients and prospects, in a timely manner.
• Review for market development of additional lines of coverage to existing accounts if required.
• Complete submission supporting documentation, e.g., claims exhibits and statement of values.
• Submit to carriers for quotes, negotiate, propose, and bind coverage.
• Negotiate with companies for agency coverage standards, terms, and premiums.
• Address any marketing service requirements if requested and review new business applications against proposals and binders.
• Handle placement through binding including all document processing applications, creating certificate masters, management and confirming receipt of all binding documents and client payments pertaining to placement.
• Prepare proposal, binding, and financial documents for client presentation.
• Handle phone calls to and from companies regarding quotes and new markets open for affiliate companies.

Qualifications:

• 5 + years' experience marketing mid and large size accounts.
• Must hold a P & C license and have a strong working knowledge of the insurance marketplace as well as coverage.
• AMS & IR experience a plus.
• Knowledge of the marketplace, including NY, a must.
• Detail oriented, strong analytical skills and efficient with time management necessary.
