Job Description

KPFF Consulting Engineers is looking for a Marketing Proposal Specialist to join our Special Projects team and take a leading role in how we tell our story to clients. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the intersection of strategy, writing, and collaboration, and wants to shape thoughtful, compelling proposals that reflect the quality of our work and the strength of our people.

In this role, you’ll own the proposal process from kickoff through submission, guiding teams, managing deadlines, and ensuring every deliverable is clear, cohesive, and high quality. You’ll lead RFQ and RFP efforts, write and refine key narratives, and help prepare teams for interviews. If you’re detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and energized by bringing structure and creativity together to win meaningful work, you’ll make an immediate impact on a collaborative and supportive team.

Your Role:

We are looking for a strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail. Our Proposal Specialist will be a natural collaborator, eager to lend a hand and share ideas. Excellent communicators, proactive problem solvers, self-starters, graphic design wizards, and strategic thinkers will find an environment that supports thoughtful work and professional growth.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop proposals and qualifications, including technical writing, editing, and proofreading
  • Interpret RFP/Q requirements and researching background materials
  • Coordinate preparation and apply for industry award pursuits
  • Work with principals, senior engineering staff, and other marketing team members to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other collateral
  • Database management and archiving
  • Develop new collateral as needed to support business development activities, with an emphasis on proposal layouts and graphic design elements
  • Perform multiple simultaneous marketing efforts with non-flexible deadlines
  • Maintain marketing collateral, resources, and information systems
  • Work closely with other marketing team members to complete tasks and assignments and elevate the quality of our marketing materials

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivator with strong organizational and intra-personal skills
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work with diverse project teams and in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency with InDesign & Adobe
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Creative and impactful graphic design skills, including creating effective infographics, presentations and marketing collateral
  • AEC industry experience preferred
  • Exceptional skills in writing and editing proposals and related marketing documents
  • Unanet or similar database experience

Compensation: 
This position is an hourly pay structure. The base salary range will be estimated between $75,000 and $100,000 plus bonuses and benefits, contingent on relevant experience. This is a hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week in our Seattle office.
