A fantastic opportunity has become available to play a key role as a Performance Marketing Planning Consultant in the Planning Centre of Excellence team in the Customer Marketing team, which is part of the wider Group Customer & Communications function.

 

You’ll play a critical role in supporting the development of our 121 marketing planning capability, providing specialist support for the wider planning and squad community to ensure the delivery of robust marketing plans which align marketing strategies, commercial objectives and customer priorities. Leveraging strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, you will regularly coordinate multiple planning activities across all squads.

 

With responsibility for budget management, you will have tight control of spend position at all time, confidently and regularly report on all aspects of the budget both ad-hoc and in regular reporting packs. Experience within a financial services  environment will be key to enable you to navigate regulatory and commercial considerations while supporting the wider team with their marketing plans. 

 

A key aspect of the role is the analysis and interpretation of complex performance data to identify trends, opportunities and risks. You will provide clear, evidence-based recommendations that drive optimisation and improve business outcomes. You will support in providing a framework for the squads target setting, performance measurement and reporting, using data-driven insights to inform the continuous refinement of their plans. Ensuring we have the right frameworks and effective stakeholder relationships will be pivotal to the role and the success of squad working going forwards.

The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35 hours.

For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional office or hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration and in some locations you’ll be expected to spend at least two days a week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, in the office. Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

 

You'll be working in a dynamic team, supporting planning activities across Customer Marketing Squads and overseeing the development of both short and long term marketing plans that align with business goals, strategic objectives and customer needs.

 

Using your strong communication and collaboration skills, you'll build effective relationships across the Planning community, Customer Marketing Squads, and key stakeholders within Group Customer Communications (GCC) and Finance.

 

You'll bring a highly analytical mindset and strong attention to detail, using marketing performance data to identify insights and turn them into meaningful actions that drive better outcomes. A proactive and innovative approach will help you anticipate challenges, identify risks and recommend or implement corrective actions that support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 

Strong organisational skills are essential, as you'll be managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

You'll lead budget management, reporting and forecasting across the customer marketing plan, providing robust financial oversight, actionable insights and forward looking forecasts.

 

You'll also use historical performance data to assess the effectiveness of marketing investment and ensure it delivers against customer and commercial objectives.

 

You'll be responsible for ensuring appropriate governance, processes and controls are in place, continually identifying opportunities to strengthen and improve ways of working.

For this role, you will have:

 

  • Experience within Financial Services, performance (121) marketing, planning and engagement with commercial acumen

    • Excellent eye for detail to ensure quality and accuracy of reporting

      • Ability to understand, analyse and interpret complex budget & performance data to spot trends and make recommendations to inform performance marketing plans and decision making

        • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your work and deliverables to support the Planning Centre of Excellence & Squads

        • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience of working and collaborating with multi-disciplined teams

        • A curious and positive mind-set with a passion for innovation in the performance marketing space
