We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Marketing Manager to shape and execute our marketing initiatives in Japan. This role will act as the critical bridge between Japan’s unique market dynamics and our global strategies. As a key leader, you will inspire a high-performing team, drive demand generation, and build strong alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, all while playing a hands-on role in shaping impactful campaigns and strategies where necessary.
What you’ll be doing:
Develop and execute demand generation strategies tailored to the Japanese market, aligning with global objectives and ensuring cultural relevance.
Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, and Global Marketing) to optimize strategies, media mix, and campaign performance.
Own the marketing strategy and execution for Japan, overseeing integrated campaigns across key channels to align global initiatives with regional opportunities.
Leverage data-driven insights and customer trends to guide culturally relevant, ROI-focused strategies and campaigns.
Lead and mentor the Japan marketing team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and accountable culture to drive demand generation, regional campaigns, events, and public relations.
Drive the strategy and execution of high-impact events (owned and sponsored) to support lead generation and brand building.
Develop strategic partnerships with local media, agencies, and industry influencers to amplify brand visibility and engagement.
Oversee localization efforts to ensure all marketing content meets the needs of the Japanese market while maintaining brand consistency.
What we’re looking for:
10+ years of experience in field marketing, demand generation, or growth marketing, ideally in a SaaS or B2B environment.
Proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing teams, with the ability to balance strategic direction and hands-on involvement.
Graduate degree in marketing, communications, or a comparable field with a focus on marketing.
Deep knowledge of Japan’s advertising landscape, with hands-on experience developing and running advertising campaigns that effectively target the right audiences and accounts using local and global ad platforms.
Native-level Japanese and strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience working cross-functionally in a global organization, navigating cultural and regional nuances.
Experience with a modern marketing tech stack including tools for reporting/analytics, marketing automation and digital marketing. (Marketo, Salesforce preferred)
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet set goals and deadlines.
Deep understanding of Japan’s market dynamics and the ability to integrate local insights with global strategies.
