About the Team:
SCMP Learn is an education-focused business solution provided by The South China Morning Post, dedicated to empowering educators, parents, and students passionate about cultivating the next generation’s English proficiency, critical thinking, storytelling, leadership, and future-ready skills.
Purpose of the Position:
Support SCMP Learn’s Event Marketing team in executing various branded and custom projects. Gain hands-on experience with educational events and programs of all scales, engage with key stakeholders, and bring your creative ideas to life. Support the Digital Marketing team by creating engaging video content to drive follower growth and engagement, particularly on Xiaohongshu (XHS) and Instagram. You will also help launch our new KOL and referral programs by preparing branded materials to build word-of-mouth and market awareness.
For Event Marketing Intern, you will:
- Assist in the execution of marketing projects in various scales including Student of the Year Awards, Posties Summer Camp, Education Events, Journalism Programme and other business-community initiatives.
- Support event logistics, follow-up and provide administrative support.
- Support marketing promotional content for social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and LinkedIn.
- Prepare marketing materials, and communicate with internal and external parties to ensure a smooth project execution.
- Participate in an intern-led research project with exposure to present your ideas to the wider team and management.
For Digital Marketing Intern, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end production of highly engaging video content—including shooting, editing, and formatting—specifically tailored for Instagram Reels and Xiaohongshu (XHS) to boost follower growth and interaction rates.
- Apply a strong understanding of XHS and Instagram algorithms, trends, and user preferences to develop content that resonates with the target audience and "heats up" our social media presence.
- Write compelling, trend-driven copy for video-based social posts. Provide high-quality translation and transcreation of content into native Simplified Chinese to ensure it effectively captures the XHS audience.
- Assist in kickstarting and managing KOL and referral campaigns to drive brand awareness and word-of-mouth marketing.
- Prepare engaging branded copy, product descriptions, and pitching materials that clearly articulate the key features and selling points of our offerings to share with KOLs and partners.
- Maintain a dynamic social media content calendar and analyze engagement metrics to provide actionable insights for optimizing future video and KOL marketing efforts.
Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
