Marketing Intern

HCSS, a 15-time "Best Company to Work For in Texas" software company in Sugar Land is searching for a Marketing Intern to join our Marketing team! You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing, including Market research, Marketing Operations, and go-to-market development. Here's what we're looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university and able to commute to our office during your internship
• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related fiel
• Strong critical thinking skill
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or G-Suite (Google Sheets, Google Doc, Google Slides
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently

What will you be doing?

• Conduct research to gather data on market trends, customer behavior, competitor activities, and industry developments
• Assist in identifying and defining target market segments based on research data
• Maintain and update database with relevant market information and research findings
• Work closely with the Marketing, Product, and other business units to provide insight into the target segment customer preferences, and competitor activities
• Contribute creative ideas and copy for new materials like one-pagers, social media strategy with your gained knowledge of target market

Here's what to expect:
This internship is semester-based and we'll work around your school schedule. For the Summer Break, you can work up to 40 hours a week. During the Fall/Spring semesters, you can work up to 25 hours a week.
Training and mentoring will be provided and you'll receive feedback on your performance regularly. You'll have numerous opportunities to continuously grow your knowledge base.
