The Loyalty Marketing Communications department is the team that creates and deploys email communications on behalf of Choice to drive brand awareness, loyalty program and partnership engagement and deliver against revenue goals. As a key member of our Loyalty Marketing Communications department, you will play a pivotal role in creating email templates, designing audience segmentation using internal data flows and filters, and accurately and timeline deploying email to help deliver on revenue goals.

Your Responsibilities

  • Use Choice’s customer database to generate internal database information, such as lists, counts for direct marketing campaigns, and ad-hoc customer analysis data extracts.

  • Work with data engineers to ensure that accurate data is loaded into marketing technology tools and high levels of data hygiene are applied.

  • Serve as liaison with the IT department and the marketing vendor for database and marketing procedural changes and update/maintain procedural documentation.

  • Use specialized marketing technology software to manipulate data, segment customer audiences, deploy email campaigns, and construct customer journeys.

  • Use the established email service provider to operationalize HTML templates, images, and content for marketing and transactional emails, using industry best practices.

  • Ensure that HTML content and customer data is properly tested across various devices/platforms prior to deployment as part of a robust QA process.

  • Work with internal teams (marketing, technology, data, and analytics) to understand campaign business requirements, receive HTML, and enhance data quality/availability.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in email deployment and data driven communication tactics, as well as communication platforms (ESP/CDP). Solid understanding of relational database foundations a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Proficient in SQL, HTML and understand data warehousing tactics.

  • Demonstrates key competencies to include effective communication, drive for results and action oriented.

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Manager, Marketing Automation and Enablement. You will have 3 teammates and will collaborate with cross-functional departments regularly.

Your Work Location

As our Marketing Enablement Analyst, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.

Right now, our associates in corporate headquarters are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtually from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
