Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Growth Leadership

  • Lead the development of mid‑ to long‑term business and marketing strategies, aligned with China and platform strategy.
  • Translate market insights, competitive dynamics, and customer unmet needs into clear strategic priorities and growth initiatives.
  • Drive strategic planning cycles, including market sizing, portfolio prioritization, and investment decisions.
  • Support China GM and LT in strategy reviews, business planning, and performance deep dives.

2. Strategic Marketing Excellence

  • Own strategic marketing frameworks across key customer segments, products, and solutions.
  • Ensure strong connection between strategy, product roadmap, pricing, and go‑to‑market models.
  • Elevate strategic analytics capability, including market intelligence, customer segmentation, and opportunity assessment.
  • Partner with product, digital, MA/pricing, and field marketing teams to ensure strategy is successfully translated into execution.

3. Business Development & Innovation

  • Identify, evaluate, and lead business development opportunities, including new business models, partnerships, and adjacent growth areas.
  • Drive innovation initiatives, pilots, and localization projects supporting long‑term growth.
  • Build robust business cases for BD initiatives, including strategic rationale, financial impact, and execution roadmap.
  • Serve as a key interface with platform strategy, global teams, and external partners.

4. Cross‑Functional Influence & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a strategic integrator across Sales, Marketing, Finance, MA, Digital, and Operations.
  • Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority; align diverse teams behind common strategic objectives.
  • Support capability building in strategic thinking, structured problem solving, and data‑driven decision making.

5. Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and lead a high‑performing team covering strategy, strategic marketing, and BD/innovation.
  • Coach and develop successors with potential for broader commercial or GM roles.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, learning, and disciplined execution.
Key Qualifications

Experience

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in strategy, strategic marketing, business development, or consulting, preferably in healthcare / diagnostics / life sciences.
  • Proven track record in driving growth initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Strong exposure to complex matrix organizations and cross‑functional leadership.
  • Experience working with or within global organizations strongly preferred.
  • Consulting background is a plus.

Leadership & Capability Requirements

  • Director‑level leadership maturity with strong executive presence.
  • Outstanding strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to translate strategy into pragmatic, executable actions.
  • Strong influencing skills with senior leaders and diverse teams.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, complexity, and change.
