Job Summary:
Lead the development, execution, and measurement of paid media, digital (.com, email, social), earned media (PR, brand programs), experiential, new product introduction, and retail/dealer marketing plans that build brand equity, awareness, and retail conversion. Lead development of brand strategy and positioning specific to Slingshot. Formulate long-range brand strategy, rider insight development, and competitive analysis. Own annual GTM planning. Lead a team responsible for the day-to-day management of brand positioning, creative development, paid media, experiential, product launches, owner relations, retail/dealer marketing, and business analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead annual go-to-market (GTM) strategy and plan development to deliver business goals. Engage internal and external partners in process to drive alignment.
- Develop and manage digital marketing plan inclusive of website, social media, and email platforms. Set annual and monthly KPI targets and manage performance accordingly. Serve as key interface with digital marketing, social media, PR, and paid media agencies. Express brand positioning and key programs through digital platforms.
- Lead experiential marketing strategy and execution, including Slingshot Experience Tour, event activations and owner/ ambassador program development. Set annual and monthly KPI targets and manage performance accordingly.
- Partner with Slingshot product leadership and key stakeholders to lead all product launch and commercialization efforts, including GTM strategy and plans, product positioning, dealer/sales training, PR, and product marketing materials and content strategy.
- Lead paid media strategy, plan development, and execution. Manage plan to achieve monthly and annual KPI targets based on retail goals. Drive efficiency into plan through continuous improvement and partnership with the Polaris Analytics team. Serve as primary point of contact for media agency.
- Develop and execute retail marketing strategy and plan. Leverage innovative thinking, creativity, and customer empathy to express the brand at retail and increase customer conversion. Set and manage retail marketing KPI's. Lead thinking on retail marketing strategy and communicate key insights across broader Polaris marketing organization.
- Develop brand creative campaigns expressed across paid, owned, and earned media channels. Serve as key point of contact for brand creative agency. Contribute to development and refinement of brand positioning, customer segmentation, and long-range brand planning.
- Partner with cross functional partners to analyze business performance, develop insights and develop countermeasure recommendations. Serve as thought leader in weekly business performance reviews. Implement countermeasures with speed and precision.
- Manage multi-million-dollar marketing investment specific to functional areas, including agency costs, paid media, events, and production. Meet budget commitments.
- Build and lead a highly motivated and capable team both with direct reports and across the organization. Ensure strong cross-functional ties within On Road segment and across Polaris.
- Represent Slingshot brand in key cross-organization marketing leadership forums.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- 8-10+ years of relevant sales and marketing experience
- Retail experience with channel model preferred
- Demonstrated bias to action and ability to drive results
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Outstanding leadership skills with proven ability to lead and influence cross-functionally
- Proven track record of organization skills, project management, and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and excel in fast-paced work environment
- Ability to demonstrate innovative approaches to solutions or problem-solving
Working Conditions:
- Standard office environment; moderate domestic and international travel for brand events, planning sessions, dealer meetings, and agency summits.
- Travel is up to ~25%.
The pay range for Minnesota is $150,000 to $170,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
