POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of casino-wide marketing initiatives by ensuring smooth coordination of various tasks contributing to the success of the casino.

Job Summary:

Key responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator include coordinating promotional logistics, managing promotional items, marketing collateral and materials, coordinating event execution both on-site and off-site, and assisting with sponsorship and donation requests. The Marketing Coordinator helps maintain clear communication across departments, supports marketing reporting and documentation, and represents the casino in a professional and positive manner during events and community engagements. This role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, effective communication, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

Required skills and knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Four years of experience in a guest service-related field.
  • Minimum of one and a half years working in a casino marketing environment.
  • One year of experience coordinating and managing offsite community engagement events.
  • One year of experience in player tracking and back-end casino CMS systems ensuring accuracy of parameters and configurations.
  • One year of experience with reviewing and verifying promotional data and matrices for accuracy and consistency.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and Driver’s abstract and must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple stakeholders such as internal team members, outside vendors and the general public.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets (including excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Experience in Player Tracking and back-end Casino CMS systems.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work within time constraints, stay on task, and follow directions.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to remain calm and professional.
  • Must be able to work with a variety of people and diverse personalities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently without supervision.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III gaming license.

Preferred skills and knowledge:

  • Higher education degree in Marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Certification in Red Wind’s “Service First” Program.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for a long period of time.
  • Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Act as a brand ambassador, creating a fun, cultivating and inviting environment that encourages guests to choose Nisqually Red Wind Casino as their casino of choice.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of the established marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Coordination of marketing activities, including third-party liaison, vendor communication, logistics, staffing, decorations, purchase materials, and timelines.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional rules for review, approval and disbursement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and materials needed for marketing initiatives.
  • Monitoring of promotional system set-ups and system configurations with high regard to efficiency and accuracy.
  • Planning, creation, execution, and participation in both on-site and off-site promotion events.
  • Works as a liaison between Marketing and all other casino departments to coordinate the execution of interdepartmental marketing strategies.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to guests, both internal and external.
  • Provide administrative support and coordination, including data entry and maintaining marketing databases.
  • Assist with guest related inquiries and concerns by contacting guests with solutions or answers, when needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on proofing for marketing projects, advertisements, and reporting.
  • Monitor event performance and guest feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Serves as the primary contact for coordinating casino-wide décor, artistic displays, seasonal decorations, entertainment provider ensuring all elements align with the casino’s brand and service standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of promotional activities, prize inventory, and vendor communications.
  • Hosting of on property entertainment and events. Ensure purchase requests, set-up and breakdown of all promotional areas and items are completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and Team Members.
  • Understand the Goals, Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the organization and demonstrate commitment to these in terms of individual and team performance.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Keep records accurately and neatly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
