The Marketing Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and coordination of marketing initiatives that elevate the Bernardus Lodge & Spa brand across digital, social, print, public relations, and on-property channels, including marketing for Lucia Restaurant, The Bar at Lucia, The Patio at Lucia, and The Spa at Bernardus. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this individual helps maintain the property's marketing calendar, coordinates the production of brand-aligned collateral, drafts content for review and approval, and supports the agencies and internal partners who execute paid media, digital, and public relations campaigns. This position plays an important role in ensuring all guest-facing marketing communications reflect Bernardus' Forbes Four-Star, two-Michelin-Key Spa positioning and brand voice of quiet luxury, nature, and epicurean experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives across digital, print, social media, email, public relations, and on-property channels, in partnership with the Director of Sales & Marketing.

• Maintain the property's marketing calendar, tracking campaigns, promotions, seasonal initiatives, content needs, and key deadlines across the Lodge, Lucia Restaurant, The Bar at Lucia, The Patio at Lucia, and The Spa at Bernardus.

• Coordinate the creation and production of marketing materials and ads for the Lodge, Lucia Restaurant, and The Spa at Bernardus, ensuring strict alignment with Bernardus brand guidelines, voice, and visual standards.

• Collaborate with the resort's social media agency to develop monthly content calendars that align with seasonal initiatives, resort experiences, promotions, and brand objectives. 

• Contribute creative ideas, story angles, and content themes to support the development of engaging social media campaigns.

• Coordinate with the Spa Director support the promotion of spa treatments, wellness programming, seasonal offerings, and special events, ensuring all guest-facing content is accurate and aligned with the spa experience and the overall Bernardus brand.

• Collaborate with and assist the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef on Food & Beverage programming, promotions, calendar of events, and seasonal campaigns for Lucia Restaurant, The Bar at Lucia, The Patio at Lucia and The Pool (seasonal).

• Capture and organize on-property photo and video content during events, activations, seasonal moments, and peak periods for use across marketing channels with a focus on social forward content.

• Support coordination of media stays, influencer visits, press visits, FAM tours, and hosted experiences in partnership with the public relations agency.

• Assist with execution of email marketing campaigns, including list coordination, content drafting, and basic performance reporting.

• Coordinate with the digital marketing agency on paid media campaigns, providing assets, scheduling support, and campaign coordination; the agency leads strategy and execution.

• Support website and digital platform accuracy by conducting regular audits of the property website, booking channels, and third-party listings, flagging outdated or inconsistent information.

• Monitor and help enhance how Bernardus Lodge, Lucia Restaurant, and The Spa at Bernardus are represented by AI search and chatbot tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and similar LLM-based platforms), flagging outdated, inaccurate, or missing information to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

• Maintain and update third-party listings, including Google Business Profile, Tripadvisor, OTA and other third-party content, and relevant local/destination directories, in coordination with the Director of Sales & Marketing.

• Liaise with external tourism, destination, and hospitality partners to help ensure accurate representation of the property across destination marketing channels.

• Compile and organize marketing and media packets, brand assets, and reference materials as needed.

• Attend marketing, PR agency, and digital agency meetings as requested, taking notes and tracking follow-up items.

• Collaborate with culinary, spa, front office, and other departments to gather accurate, current information for marketing content and to confirm operational details prior to publication.

• Maintain organized physical and digital files for marketing collateral, brand assets, and campaign materials.

• Maintain the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling guest, partner, and brand information.

• Promote and uphold safe work practices and contribute to a safe working environment at all times.

• Perform additional duties and tasks assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Luxury hotel, resort, spa, private club, or hospitality marketing experience preferred.

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for brand voice and consistency.

• Sharp eye for design, photography/video composition, and visual brand standards.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.

• Ability to work collaboratively across departments while also working independently with sound judgment.

• Comfortable coordinating with external agencies and partners in a professional, organized manner.

• Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.

• Must meet legal age requirements for the position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, and one to three years of related marketing, social media, or content experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Luxury hospitality experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Must speak and communicate in English.

• Must be able to clearly and professionally communicate with guests, management, vendors, and coworkers.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Advanced knowledge of various computer programs, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Proficiency with content and design tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.

• Experience with social media management and scheduling platforms a plus.

• Experience with email marketing platforms and basic website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) a plus.

• Knowledge of Salesforce/Delphi or Opera a plus but not required.

• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, including while capturing on-property content.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position primarily works in an office environment, with regular need to move throughout the property — including outdoor areas of the Lodge and Spa — to capture content, attend events, and coordinate on-site marketing activities. The work environment at Bernardus Lodge ranges from winter time lows of 20 degrees to summer time highs of 100+ degrees. While performing on-property duties, the employee may be exposed to outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
