About EF

At EF, we open the world through education. For over 50 years, our mission has been to give confidence and freedom to people of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds. Join a dynamic, fun, and global team passionate about international education and cultural exchange.

Role Overview

We are looking for an outgoing, communicative, and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to drive EF’s brand presence and generate leads across Hungary, the United Kingdom, and other English-speaking markets. Based in Budapest, you’ll be a key part of our vibrant, international team—collaborating with colleagues in Zurich, the UK, and beyond.

This hands-on role combines core marketing responsibilities—social media, digital advertising, email communications, events, and PR—with ownership of the ambassador initiative roll-out, ensuring increased ambassador engagement and referral generation across our English-speaking markets.

Your Key Responsibilities

Marketing and Communications for UK, HU & English-Speaking Markets

  • Social Media & Content:
Manage and grow EF United Kingdom, Hungary's Instagram and other English-language channels; create engaging posts, interact with followers, and build strong online communities.
  • Digital Advertising:
Create ads, coordinate paid digital campaigns, and work closely with the central Zurich team for campaign execution.
  • Communications & Email Marketing:
Plan, craft, send, and optimize all email campaigns and communications targeting the UK, Hungary and other English-speaking regions, including ambassador-related content. Respond to enquiries and manage digital interactions to ensure clear, persuasive, and timely communication.
  • Events & Offline Marketing:
Organize offline distributions and collaborate with the UK and HU team to support events that generate qualified leads and opportunities.
  • PR:
Lead PR initiatives for the UK and HU markets: build media relationships, coordinate press releases, and pursue opportunities for positive coverage.

Ambassador Initiative Roll-Out & Referral Generation

  • Ambassador Program Management:
Roll out and manage the ambassador initiative across several global regions, driving engagement and referrals.
  • Ambassador Platform:
Coordinate activities, challenges, and communication for ambassadors on our platform—create, post, and manage ambassador content and engagement.
  • Collaboration:
Work closely with sales and marketing teams in each market to ensure everyone is informed and aligned on ambassador activities.
  • Content & Events for Ambassadors:
Produce and share creative content for ambassador campaigns across social media, email, and the ambassador platform. Plan and deliver events (virtual or in-person) across the relevant markets to promote program participation and referrals.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field; experience with education or travel a plus.
  • C2-level English and Hungarian required (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, digital tools, and analytics.
  • Experience with loyalty, influencer, or referral programs preferred.
  • Comfortable using digital and AI-enabled creative tools such as Canva, Storyblok, and similar platforms.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills; a collaborative and outgoing EF spirit.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Flexible, solutions-focused, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Eager to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.

About You

  • Energetic, positive, and creative—ready to bring the EF “vibe” to everything you do.
  • Open, communicative, and proactive in engaging both colleagues and audiences.
  • Passionate about youth travel, education, and connecting people globally.
  • Always looking for ways to innovate, optimize, and inspire others.
