Job Summary:

Avnet is looking for an energetic and ambitious marketing and communications professional to join its team in an exciting growth division focused on computing and system design and building for the world's biggest brands.

The role will work closely with a global team of product and solution specialists to market the products and solutions to businesses, generate leads and work with the sales teams to grow the business. The role will also work closely with some of the world's top chip-making businesses as partners and suppliers, collaborating on campaigns and events. The role will combine responsibilities in the realm of digital marketing including websites, social and media sites, with event marketing including trade shows and direct customer engagement events

The role is highly international-focused, working location is flexible/hybrid depending on proximity to our offices and there is potential for travel. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, energetic and enjoy working with a diverse and multicultural team.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Plans, implements and develops new marketing ideas and communication projects and ensures content aligns with key messaging, fulfills strategic plans and reflects the organization’s brand voice.
  • Provides guidance to businesses in developing and executing communication programs and tactics, including product advertising.
  • Prepares compelling, relevant, timely communication materials both internally and externally for products, services, business plans and management communications, etc. and ensures content is relevant to target audience.
  • Determines and uses the most effective communication media to sell specific products or services.
  • Leverages social media, web marketing, trade show activity and other marketing efforts.
  • Coordinates with vendors to produce promotional materials, marketing collateral, websites and other marketing communications materials.
  • May analyze data, sentiment and trends; makes proactive and strategic recommendations based on data.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Level Specifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts. Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.
  • Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work may be reviewed at a high-level.
  • May represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects. Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.
  • Actions may impact the organization. Failure to accomplish work will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational goals. Erroneous decisions may have a prolonged effect resulting in the expenditure of substantial resources.


Work Experience:

  • Typically 3+ years of relevant experience

Additional requirements:

  • Excellent spoken and written English is essential. It would also be highly desirable to be a German speaker
  • Driving Licence preferred
