The Role

Job Summary

At IFF Animal Nutrition and Health, we produce solutions that help to improve nutrition, health and sustainability of livestock animals and pets. As Global Marketing Communications Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing the Communications plan. You will report to the Global Marketing Director. Key to success in this role is strong project management, collaboration and communication across functions and teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

External communications:

Marketing Communications Plan & Implementation

  • Develop and execute a global marketing communications plan aligned with business goals, deploying it across multiple channels (digital, email, PR, social media, external events).
  • Manage and track the global Marketing Communications budget.
  • Define and track key performance indicators for data-driven decisions.
  • Manage relationships with third-party agencies.
  • Maintain trademarks.

Content Development & Storytelling

  • Develop and maintain a global editorial calendar.
  • Oversee creation of high-quality and compelling content (press releases, articles, website copy, presentations, social media posts, multimedia).
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity.

Public Relations & Media Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with global media and industry publications.
  • Develop and manage PR campaigns.

Event Support

  • Support the regional communications team as required (events, branding guidelines, assets)
  • Develop event-related marketing and promotional materials.

Internal communications:

  • Collaborate with IFF Corporate Communications team as required (website updates, brand identity etc.)
  • Internal champion for the external publications / product literature approval process; train colleagues on how to comply
  • Create content for internal communications as required (internal newsletters, MS Teams, etc.)
  • Manage upload and taxonomy for all MarComm content to asset databases

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field; or Science degree with proven track record in Marketing Communications.
  • 10 years’ experience developing and executing communications campaigns.
  • Experience in the animal nutrition industry is a plus.
  • Track record in storytelling, to create compelling narratives that resonate with the target audience, enhancing the impact of marketing campaigns
  • Experience analyzing marketing data and metrics to understand how campaign activities influence conversion rates, ensuring that marketing efforts are optimized to maximize customer engagement and sales

KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

  • Proven project management. Ability to plan and prioritize work across multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong communications (oral and written) and presentation skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Computer literacy: MS 365: including advanced excel
  • Familiarity or experience working with CRM software, Showpad, Sharepoint, Looker (web analytics)
  • Prior experience using: Asana, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bynder (DAM (Digital asset management))system, CMS (WordPress)
  • Skilled in drafting/writing content (including technical, scientific)
  • Proactive (self-starter).
  • Learning agility.
  • Good relationship building & self-awareness.
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Ability to manage outside vendors and 3rd party seminar presenters and agencies.
  • Fluent in English both oral and written.

               

Other requirements:

  • Willing to travel occasionally to events.
