JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for Marketing & Communications Manager to join our Neuromodulation (NMD) Team and support EMEA, APAC & LATAM regions

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Marketing and Communications (MarCom) Manager NMD, works in partnership with the International Marketing Team to develop and implement effective communication strategies that align with our business objectives and promote our brand. To achieve this, you will work closely and collaborate with colleagues who represent both Global and Regional Sales, Marketing, Digital, Congress and Events, Brand and Creative Services.

You will own the  MarCom Strategy across all our therapies and regions in EMEA, APAC and LATAM, and support processes consistent with product and business objectives. This includes developing, managing, and implementing all branding and communication projects in the areas of advertising and promotion, including digital and mobile communications. You will manage project-based marketing activities at any given time and own the related integrated marketing communication plans. You will act as a brand ambassador and ensure brand compliance for Abbott.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement integrated strategic marketing communication plans as well as channel and launch plans, to promote the company’s brand and products whilst tracking success/KPIs to monitor performance. Manage multiple projects with varying timelines and ensure their timely execution.
  • Manage the creation, distribution, and maintenance of print and electronic collateral including brochures, press releases, website content, annual reports, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
  • Partner with the global digital marketing team to strategize on the needs of the Markets for websites, apps, social media and other online activities. Ensure digital marketing activities are developed and implemented effectively to increase product and brand value whilst tracking success/KPIs to monitor performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as upstream and downstream marketing, public affairs, regulatory affairs, clinical, R&D and legal to execute on all elements of the MarCom strategy effectively.
  • Own the process and provide direction to external agencies and vendors by facilitating effective communication to achieve collaboration and consensus, ensuring timely completion of related promotional projects with them.  
  • In collaboration with our Global and International congress and events team, own, develop and execute on MarCom related strategies for congress and events to ensure our product and brand value is realised effectively.
  • Act as a brand ambassador and implement corporate, divisional and product brand guidelines.
  • Manage the marketing communications budget, plan and execute MarCom activities within the limits of the allocated budget.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with similar roles and responsibilities. Preferably in a large multinational company within the medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, or similar at a communication agency, with good business acumen, and preferably in a managerial role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of current marketing trends and best practices.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Experience working with a global brand and a passion for working in the healthcare industry.
  • Sales experience or equivalent understanding how sales are enabled through Marketing Communications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with cross-functional teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple competing priorities and demanding stakeholders with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment, must have strong English language skills.  
  • Experience with managing vendors and contractors.
  • Comprehensive personal computer skills including demonstrated power point, excel, word processing and database management capabilities are essential.
  • Experience working with sales enablement tools, including web and mobile apps.
  • Willingness to travel
