We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Assistant to support the execution of marketing initiatives and communication strategies that enhance brand visibility and stakeholder engagement across the organization.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Marketing and Communication Assistant serves as a key support to the Head-Group Marketing and Communication, by providing administrative support for a range of activities within the operational sphere of the department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Administrative Duties
•    Collection and distribution of mail.
•    Schedule/coordinate department meetings, appointments, and workshops, as required. 
•    Prepare minutes for meetings, as required.
•    Develop and maintain an appropriate catalogue and filing system in hard and/or electronic format for clippings, photographs, videos, audiotapes, and artwork, Photo/Scrap albums, as well as department databases on Shared folders.
•    Coordinate payments of all expenses related to budgets.
•    Input Oracle entries regarding payments for the department.
•    Track expenses on the relevant department databases.
•    Managing requests for call cards related to GSSL and GHL.
•    Assist in the preparation of reports. Expense reporting by BU, charitable foundation report, content calendar report. This involves gathering the data, transpose into existing format for review and dissemination

2.    Branding and Communication Support
•    Update databases and media lists.
•    Assist with the planning and execution of events.
•    Prepare and disseminate donation and sponsorship regret letters.  
•    Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media tactics. It involves liaising with agencies, making edits in the back-end 
•    Maintain and coordinate all promotional/branding items in stock.
•    Provide administrative support to branding and communication programmes and internal team.
•    Assist with the planning and execution of events.

3.    Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Group Head Marketing and Communication.
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
•    5 CXC/CSEC Passes including Mathematics and English Language.
•    2 A’ Levels/CAPE passes.
•    Certificate in Marketing, Communication or Branding
•    At least one (1) year experience in Marketing and/ or Communication environment or related field.
•    Good understanding of social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The Marketing and Communication Assistant should have an engaging personality, be trustworthy, well organised and be able to use his/her initiative in order to get the job done.  He/She must be able to work under pressure to meet very rigid deadlines and have the capacity to become totally involved in all the projects of the Marketing and Communication Team to ensure the delivery of quality service.  He/She must be willing to work on weekends and unusual hours.

Skills Required
