The Opportunity

The Marketing Internship is an outstanding program where you’ll get to learn from experienced professionals and gain hands-on-experience in the Life Company organization creating marketing campaigns for Life Insurance, Annuities Health Insurance and Investment products.
Supports the team in creating, facilitating and / or executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels including - not limited to – paid media, social, email, direct, sponsorships and digital. Responsible for one or more of the following areas: ongoing management of agency resources; creating, managing and/or executing campaigns; and/or managing budgets. Collaborates with various internal and external resources to support the development and delivery of marketing communications for one or more of the following: go-to-market plans; integrated tactical plans, project plans, milestone schedules, and/or creative strategy.

The internships will be based at the USAA Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. Interns offered full-time roles may have the opportunity to work out of one of USAA’s satellite locations.

What you'll do:

Our Interns work under direct supervision and follow risk and compliance procedures and guidance, perform routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members, including the following tasks:

  • Creative campaigns / messaging on awareness, education and product acquisition

  • Analysis on funnel fall out

  • Communication and coordination with key operational partners

What you need to have:

To qualify, you must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years. Our 2027 internship will start on June 2, 2027 and last through August 13, 2027.

  • Graduation date cannot be prior to August 13, 2027

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Marketing Analysis

  • Additional experience/projects/coursework

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $25 - $33. Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the hourly range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual hourly rate for this role may vary by location.
