ABOUT THE TEAM

The Sales and Marketing Automation Team (the team behind the scenes) is responsible for supporting and automating efficiency, alignment, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. Proficient in marketing automation, sales strategy, sales automation, CRM management, lead generation processing, pipeline optimization, and analytics, the team ensures seamless integration between all key functions within the organization across all aspects of the business, from supporting lead generation initiatives to attracting ALX learners to managing sales pipelines for Sand Technologies. Through continuous improvement and strategic alignment, this team empowers the organization to achieve sustainable growth and operational excellence.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to help optimize and maintain our marketing technology stack, focusing primarily on HubSpot CRM. You will work closely with the Marketing team and other stakeholders to execute campaigns, manage data, and ensure the seamless integration of tools that drive Sand Technologies' demand generation efforts.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Assist in the daily management and administration of HubSpot, ensuring that marketing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
● Support the design and execution of marketing automation workflows, email campaigns, and lead management processes within HubSpot.
● Monitor and maintain data integrity and hygiene within the CRM and marketing systems, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting.
● Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to track and optimize lead generation, nurturing, and scoring processes.
● Assist in the implementation and management of new marketing tools and technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
● Perform routine audits and maintenance tasks to keep marketing operations systems running smoothly and up to date.
● Generate and analyze marketing performance reports, helping to identify areas for optimization.
● Provide day-to-day support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within HubSpot, Salesforce, and related tools.
● Stay updated on marketing technology trends and provide recommendations for improving current processes and tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
● 3-5 years of experience in marketing operations, with hands-on experience using HubSpot and 1-2 years of experience with Salesforce.
● Basic understanding of marketing automation, lead management, and CRM best practices.
● Strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
● Familiarity with data management and reporting, including running reports and dashboards in HubSpot.
● Experience in executing and managing email marketing campaigns, workflows, and lead scoring models.
● Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt.
SUCCESS MEASURES
● In 1-2 months: Conduct an audit of existing marketing automation processes, data flows, and systems. Identify gaps and quick wins that will immediately improve operational efficiency.
● In 3-4 months: Design and implement foundational workflows and automation processes in HubSpot and Salesforce that supports scalable lead management, campaign execution, and reporting.
● In 5-6 months: Deliver documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) and a reporting framework that enable the marketing team to independently manage and scale ongoing initiatives. Successfully transition knowledge and processes to internal teams, ensuring smooth post-contract operations.
