Position Summary:
As a Marketing Associate [Events & Activations], you will be vital in organising, executing, and optimising on-ground events and brand activations to drive awareness, engagement, and partnerships for BrighterMonday Uganda.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our brand maintains a strong, consistent presence at career fairs, workshops, expos, and other activations that reinforce our position as a trusted partner in career development and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate event calendars, activation plans, and logistics to support BrighterMonday Uganda’s partnership and impact initiatives.
  • Oversee on-ground activities during events, from setting up branded materials and liaising with vendors to providing support and an engaging experience for attendees.
  • Ensure all events and activations adhere to brand guidelines and messaging, maintaining our position as Uganda’s premier career development and recruitment platform.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Partnerships, Product, CX) to align event objectives, gather necessary resources, and report on performance metrics post-activation.
  • Assist in managing budgets for events and activations, optimising costs while ensuring a high return on investment and brand impact.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with event vendors, venue managers, and relevant partners to maximise brand visibility and reach.
  • Track and analyse key metrics (attendance, lead generation, conversions, partner feedback) to measure the effectiveness of each event or activation, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices in events and activations to keep BrighterMonday Uganda at the forefront of innovation.
  • Prepare comprehensive post-event reports, including performance insights, learnings, and recommendations for future improvement.

Reporting into: Marketing Campaign Manager, BrighterMonday Uganda

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in organising, managing, or supporting events and activations, ideally in marketing, media, or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective vendor and stakeholder relations.
  • Proficiency in budget planning and resource allocation to ensure high-impact events at optimal costs.
  • Demonstrated ability to measure and analyse event performance metrics, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and social media strategies to amplify event visibility.
  • Team player with a proactive mindset, capable of working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
